Many people have heard of the Solar Plexus but exactly what is it? Well the Solar Plexus is an important structure. It is the network of nerves in the autonomic nervous system, that regulates the function of the organs.
As an essential part of the body's nervous system, the solar plexus plays a large role in keeping our organs functioning smoothly and preparing the body to respond to stress by making changes in metabolism. At times, the solar plexus causes changes in the body in response to stress and produces a fight-or-flight response. The diagram below will give you a good idea where the pressure point would be applied. The solar plexus is located between zones 2 and 3 on both feet beneath the diaphragm.
